God’s Creation
Genesis 1
We are starting a short series on creation.
God made everything. He made our world, the water, the land, the sun, the moon, the plants, the animals, and all the living things. He made all the people, too. He made me and you!
Every week we read a short story on creation out of “My first hands-on Bible”.
Our first lesson we matched animals to their tails and crossed out the animal in each group that did not belong in the group. We also colored a picture of land, water, and animals…some of God’s creation.
Our second lesson we drew a circle around the largest creation picture in each row and crossed out the smallest one. We also drew a star when we connected in order the pictures of God’s creation.
Our third lesson centered on the creation of Adam and Eve, their garden home Eden, and their banishment (removal). Our activity pages consisted of gluing Adam & Eve in a garden picture (we can color it later at home), gluing Froot Loops to make colorful garden trees, completing a missing pieces Garden of Eden picture, and doing a maze helping Adam find Eve in the garden (like all men, he needs directions). Wow!, we did a lot of work and then we made our favorite craft…..a sneaky, snake, serpent with googly eyes and a red pipe cleaner tongue. Our church family saw us playing with them later. What fun they were boinging up and down.
Every week after listening to what God made each day, we locate and stack creation blocks in order.
Our favorite game is memory creation. Somehow our teacher always seems to come in last. ☺ And she did again!!!
Come see us next week as we travel through the Bible.
