Today’s lesson: Looking For a Wife Genesis 24

We have learned that God promised Abraham and Sarah a son named Isaac. God kept his promise.

Isaac grew up to be a fine young man. He was ready to get married. Abraham said to his servant, “Go find a good wife for my son.” So the servant rode his camels a long way. One day, he stopped at a well and prayed, “If a girl gives water to me and my camels, I will know she is the right one.” Lots of girls came to the well, but they did not share their water. At last, a girl named Rebekah came. She filled her jug with water, then, she shared it with the man and his camels. “Thank you, God,” said the man. “This is the girl I have been looking for.”

After discussing the story, we colored a page that retold the story of the man’s search for a wife for Isaac.

Our art project was a Moving Picture that had Rebekah moving to meet Isaac for the first time.

We listened to the songs “He Leadeth Me” and “Trust and Obey.”

See you next week when our lesson will be about Isaac’s twin sons, Esau and Jacob.

Agape,
Annie
